Spring Fling – Fueling the Stoke

Taos Mountain Bike Association hosted over 100 local riders for beer, trivia and prizes at our Spring Fling at Taos Mesa Brewery. A hot trivia competition raged while our favorite MTB videos played in the background. Endless prizes donated by local area supporters of the Taos Mountain Bike Association went home with trivia sharks and raffle winners of all ages. These prizes included a night at The Blake, passes to Northside riding area, and swag from Gearing Up and Taos Cyclery – and so much more.

In addition to the fun, TMBA presented its new goals for better riding opportunities in our area, and how YOU can now get involved through new TMBA committees. Email us for information how you can help TMBA focus on the areas of MTBing that are important to you. It’s true: you can work and have fun at the same time.

Also present for the festivities were representatives from local land use agencies, and partner organizations, including: Carson National Forest, Bureau of Land Management, Enchanted Circle Trails Association, and Northside. Zia Rides shared an invite to the South Boundary Big Ride, and FIT Taos laid out another awesome summer of Hill Climbs and community activities. These partner organizations are vital to the success of Taos mountain biking, so It was great to have them share the vision and the fun. TMBA will continue to work with these groups to expand riding opportunities for all.

Best of all, many on-the-spot new member registrations for IMBA help show our local government and agency partners that Taos is stoked about mountain biking. Our membership numbers will help us advocate for more MTB opportunities throughout our area.

WELCOME to our new members: TMBA will continue to develop techniques and strategies for involving you in all opportunities.
